I have worked leading the end-to-end process of CRO digital experimentation for small startups and billion dollar brands. This includes owning testing roadmaps, strategy, statistical framework and best practices, creative test ideation, and even leading engineering teams building A/B testing platforms - from data pipeline to collision detection to reporting UI - from the ground up. What is CRO?

CRO - Conversion Rate Optimization is the process of introducing various changes to a digital platform to improve KPIs like conversion rate and revenue either directly or indirectly through secondary metrics. This is traditionally achieved through A/B testing.
With A/B testing, experiments on your website or app tests variations in design, branding, information architecture, UX, copy, choice framing, gamification, etc. A portion of your audience sees your current setup (the “control”) and a portion sees your variation(s). A statistical framework coupled by an environment controlled for data biases helps determine if your variations improved conversion (or other KPIs) or worsened. A series of iterations in aggregate can bring massive gains to your company’s performance and provide the exact data for which efforts contributed how much.

These tools are the cutting-edge tactics of some of the most successful brands on the planet. That’s the most important time to invest in a CRO program! If you are paying to bring traffic to your site and your website is not performing as it could, at best you are leaving money on the table and having higher than necessary CPAs, and at worst you’re wasting your money.
I don’t think I have enough website traffic
Digital platforms small to large can have CRO strategies - they each will just have their different approaches. In fact it can be best to implement a rigorous A/B testing + CRO practice prior to scaling your business so that your business can be built with the correct framework and the correct best practices. Reverse-engineering CRO strategies of large companies stuck in their ways is often a much more difficult process.
We have a rebrand/redesign coming up anyway
A/B testing is critical to redesigns. Before the redesign, testing helps you uncover UX and design learnings that will guide the direction of your redesign, and during the redesign, you can use A/B testing to test in your redesign and understand if it is effective or not and what about it does not work. You can test in parts or all at once (a strategy in and of itself!)
I know our audience and know what works
Not all user behavior is intuitive, and sometimes users will follow a logical path that is different than the one you would take. This can even differ across segmentations of your audience. Furthermore, ugly design often outperforms pretty design. It is important to test so that you can make sure your changes are having a positive impact, and so that you can understand exactly the positive or negative impact that something has.

Why hire a consultant? Especially when we have a digital marketer?
For such a specialized role, many businesses may find the flexibility and the hyper task-focus of a consultant to be highly appealing. For CRO this is especially true - most marketers who do A/B testing are not specialists - A/B testing is simply one of their many digital marketing skills, and they generally lack in-depth understanding of how to construct a comprehensive and forward-thinking strategy, as well as how to ensure biases and competing experiments do not corrupt your data and test results. A/B testing is statistically rigorous, and many digital marketers will run tests that give invalid results because they are not set up or called properly. I am an expert and a specialist in my field, and will laser-focus on your needs.

Which testing software do you prefer?
The bulk of my experience is with Optimizely, Google Optimize, and custom platforms in which I have dictated the framework and methodology of running tests, collecting data, and calling a test statistically significant. If you have other existing softare, that is fine. Different A/B testing software are similar in many ways. If you need your tests called manually, I have the experience to do that as well.

Do you only do B2C?
